01. Program Specialist
Stand for Vulnerable Organization (SVO) is seeking to recruit a visionary, globally competent, and results-driven Program Specialist to advance its mission at both continental and global levels. The selected candidate will serve across SVO’s Charity and Social Enterprise Wings, playing a critical role in strengthening SVO’s partnership with its valued existing donor partners, mobilizing potential global partnerships, attracting funding, and expanding the organization’s influence and reach.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically position SVO to compete and collaborate on global platforms with international CSOs, donor agencies, and impact-driven enterprises;
- Strengthen and deepen partnerships with SVO’s valued existing donor partners by designing and implementing strategic approaches that enhance collaboration, increase impact, and foster long-term mutual growth;
- Provide strategic advice to SVO leadership on how to consistently meet and exceed the expectations of its existing donors, ensuring full compliance, transparency, accountability and delivery of high-quality results that honor their trust and investment;
- Initiate, develop, and maintain high-level partnerships with bilateral, multilateral, philanthropic, and corporate donors, with a focus on both grants and sustainable business support;
- Lead and coordinate high quality, winning global proposals, concept notes, partnership pitches, and framework agreements;
- Represent SVO in continental and global forums, including strategic dialogues, partnership summits, consortium platforms, and sectoral alliances;
- Identify and unlock opportunities for global social enterprise investment, innovation, and scale-up;
- Develop and implement strategic fundraising campaigns through both traditional donor relations and modern digital communication channels;
- Mentor and empower SVO teams to enhance their global readiness, proposal writing, reporting, and strategic communication skills;
- Collaborate with communication and IT teams to elevate SVO’s brand, digital visibility, and online positioning;
- Advocate for SVO’s mission and influence global discourse on holistic development, charity transformation, and social enterprise impact.
About You
• Master’s Degree or PhD in International Development, Economics, Business Management, Social Enterprise, or related fields;
• Minimum 7 years of proven experience working with global donors, international NGOs, UN agencies, or development finance institutions like Africa Development Bank World Bank, etc.;
• Demonstrated record of successfully raising funds from bilateral and multilateral agencies, foundations, and corporate social investors;
• Exceptional proposal writing, donor engagement, and strategic lobbying skills with evidences attached to the CV;
• Proven ability to network, negotiate, and build multi-stakeholder partnerships across borders;
• Strong background in digital fundraising, virtual engagement, and global communication tools;
• High-level understanding of global development trends, SDGs, ESG investment, and social entrepreneurship;
• A self-starter with strong organizational skills, integrity, and an entrepreneurial spirit; and
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of other international languages is desirable.
Work Flexibility:
• Applicants may work from anywhere – remotely (national or international/abroad) or from SVO’s Head Office in Ethiopia;

02. IT Specialist
SVO is seeking a visionary and experienced IT Specialist to lead and manage its technology, digital marketing, and global communication systems. This position is critical to elevating SVO’s digital presence, enhancing operational efficiency to work with its existing and potential partners, and enabling local and international fundraising and engagement through cutting-edge digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain all computer, network, and internet operations within SVO;
- Monitor and ensure the functionality and security of installed camera systems across project sites;
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of digital marketing strategies for both charity and social enterprise wings of SVO;
- Utilize digital marketing tools to enhance local and global fundraising communication efforts;
- Establish, coordinate, and lead national, continental, and global communication and fundraising platforms;
- Empower and train SVO staff to transition organizational communication into effective digital engagement at a global level;
- Transform SVO’s social media, website, and online presence into powerful communication and marketing tools for visibility and impact;
- Ensure cybersecurity and data protection standards are met;
- Support multimedia content production and digital storytelling for donor reporting and community outreach;
- Work collaboratively with program, finance, and executive teams to align digital strategies with organizational goals; and
- Deliver under pressure in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
About You
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, ICT, or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in IT systems, digital communications, and digital marketing;
- Demonstrated expertise in website development, CRM, content management systems, email marketing, and social media platforms;
- Strong knowledge of digital fundraising tools, SEO, and online campaign strategies;
- Experience with camera monitoring systems, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure management;
- Ability to train and mentor staff in digital tools and practices;
- While proficiency in English is mandatory, knowledge of two Ethiopian languages is desirable;
- High ethical standards, strong interpersonal skills, and commitment to SVO’s values; and
- Willingness to work beyond regular hours when needed, and travel to field offices.
