Job Description
Purpose of the position:
Drive trucks (supply truck or compressor truck) of the drilling crew; actively involved in mobilization and demobilization of drilling machinery and equipment; assist chief mechanic in drilling rig, compressor and trucks maintenance; undertake trucks periodic maintenance in consultation with the chief mechanic; record available moving spare parts in the field, replaced parts and history of maintenance;.
Major Responsibilities:
· Drive trucks (supply truck or compressor truck) of the drilling crew;
· Actively involve in mobilization and demobilization of drilling machinery and equipment;
· Assist chief mechanic in drilling rig, compressor and trucks maintenance;
· Undertake trucks periodic maintenance in consultation with the chief mechanic;
· Record available moving spare parts in the field, replaced parts and history of maintenance;
· Monitor the performance of the trucks and report its status timely to chief mechanic;
· Partake in the drilling and well construction works;
Job Requirements
Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:
1. Diploma in Auto mechanics & 4th Grade Driving License
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years
3. Technical Training qualifications required: Auto mechanics training, TVET (10+3, 10+4….preferable).
4. Other: Grade 4 driving license preferred.
Working Environment / Conditions:
- Work environment: frequent travel to the field
- Travel: 100% Domestic travel is required.
