Job Description
NIRAS Germany GmbH has been contracted by the Ethiopian Ministry of Labour and Skills (MoLS) represented by the German Development Bank (KfW) to deliver consultancy services to support the Ethiopian TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) sector. The Project (Lot 1) “Organizational Support and Capacity Building Support for the Basket Financing Program ESHI-TSDP” (BMZ No. BMZ-No. Phase I 2018-68736 and Phase II 2019-67066) collaborates with the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Ministry of Labor and Skills to enhance and develop the framework for basket funding TVET initiatives in the country. The Project (Lot 2) “Vocational and higher education in Ethiopia – Supporting the Industrialization Process”, BMZ No. 20176742 collaborates with various vocational training and higher education institutions, as well as with the private sector to on one hand improve the quality of education and on the other to pilot new financing models for TVET.
The tasks include the following:
• Support the Team Leader providing communication to internal and external partners
• Draft project quarterly and other reports
• Prepare project briefs and other communication materials
• Support monitoring, keeping track of the project achievements and Quality Assurance
• Document project reviews and assess performance
• Monitor adherence to internal project execution guidelines
Qualifications required

- Bachelor or diploma in education, communication or social science related subjects.
Professional experience required
• At least 3 years’ experience in reporting, editorial, presentation and team working skills
• Knowledge in project monitoring and tracking performance using software applications
• Proficient user of most MS Office Packages
• Experience working within an international environment and/or intercultural team
• Excellent English communication skills
