RFP TITLE: CALL TO CONDUCT Gender, Youth and Social Inclusion (GYSI) Analysis FOR THE MARKET FOR SANITATION (M4S) ACTIVITY FOR ETHIOPIA

Population Services International (PSI) is an international non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., that harnesses the vitality of the private sector to address the health problems of low-income and vulnerable populations in Ethiopia and other countries. Population Services International Ethiopia (PSIE) works with both the private and public sector in HIV/AIDS prevention and Treatment, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Non-Communicable Diseases and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH).

Market for Sanitation (M4S) Activity is a USAID funded intervention implemented by PSIE in eight regions of Ethiopia (Oromia, Amhara, SNNP (Southwest, South Ethiopia and Central Ethiopia), Tigray, Sidama, and Somali regions). Population Services International/Ethiopia (PSI/E) recognized the importance of equality among women, men, youth and marginalized community through removing obstacles to the achievement of their full potential as a central goal and work in promoting their participation in the WASH sector and encourage Women in leadership positions and actively engage in decision making process.

Accordingly, PSI has planned to conduct a Gender, Youth and Social Inclusion analysis for the M4S Activity in all above indicated eight target regions to understand the opportunities, Gap and Challenge of Women, Girls, Youth and marginalized community participation and engagement in the Sanitation and Hygiene services, market leadership and decision-making process.
