 Job Summary:

Mary Joy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of the organization’s financial operations. The Finance Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization, providing strategic financial guidance, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and monitor budgets for various projects and programs.
  • Manage project finances, including tracking expenditures and preparing financial statements for donor reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Mary Joy’s strategic goals.
  • Manage the organization’s budget, including forecasting, planning, and monitoring expenditures.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Provide training and support to staff on financial management practices
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Manage financial risk and implement appropriate controls.
  • Prepare financial proposals for funding opportunities

About You

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within a non-profit or NGO setting.

• Proficiency in accounting software Peachtree.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Experience working with specific donors or experience with grant management
