Purpose Of Job
The Nurse in a Pharma and Scientific Supply Division is a highly skilled registered nurse with extensive knowledge of medications, drug interactions, and pharmacokinetics, responsible for overseeing the safe and effective administration of medications within a clinical setting, including patient education, medication monitoring, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy.

Reporting to:  Director, Alliance Medical Solutions (AMS) Division

Starting Date:  Immediately after contract agreement concluded

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly reviewing medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
  • Administering medications safely and accurately, including complex drug regimens.
  • Monitoring patients for adverse drug reactions and taking necessary actions.
  • Providing patient education regarding medications, including proper dosage, side effects, and storage instructions.
  • Performing pharmacokinetic studies by collecting blood samples and monitoring drug levels.
  • Leading initiatives to ensure compliance with medication safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Identifying potential medication errors and implementing preventative measures.
  • Monitoring and reporting adverse drug events.
  • Participating in medication reviews and formulary management processes.
  • Leading staff development activities related to pharmacology and medication safety

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • MSc/BSc in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in similar position
  • Advanced certification in pharmacology or registered nurse is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work solo and as part of a team
