Purpose Of Job
The pathologist will have a deep understanding of disease processes and a passion for patient care through accurate diagnosis and clinical collaboration. He/she will be responsible for examining tissue samples, performing autopsies, and providing essential diagnostic information that assists other medical professionals in creating and implementing treatment plans. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and compassionately to both healthcare providers and patients’ families. His/her responsibilities include performing biopsies, testing medical specimens in the laboratory, and producing written pathology reports that inform treatment plans.

Required number: 2 (Two)

Employment Type: Full Time

Reporting to:  Director, Alliance Medical Solutions (AMS) Division

Starting Date:  Immediately after contract agreement concluded

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and diagnose tissues, cells, and bodily fluids using various microscopy techniques and molecular pathology.
  • Conduct autopsies to determine cause of death and contribute to medical research.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to develop comprehensive treatment plans based on pathology findings.
  • Analyzing tissue using accessioning, tissue processing, embedding, microtomes, and staining.
  • Handling tissue specimens in accordance with safety requirements and infection-control specifications
  • Review and interpret laboratory results, providing timely feedback to healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of findings and diagnoses in patient medical records.
  • Stay updated on advancements in pathology and related fields, integrating new techniques into practice when appropriate.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Instructing and guiding other members of the biomedical team about tissue analysis, identification, and the appropriate test to perform
Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Msc/BSc degree in medicine, biology, physical science, pharmaceutical, or related field of study
  • Minimum three years of hand on experience in a similar position
  • Completion of an accredited residency training in pathology is a plus.
  • Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathologyis an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and quality control measures with the ability to convey complex medical information effectively.
  • A commitment to continued education and professional development in the field of pathology.
  • Extensive knowledge of tissue sampling and analysis techniques.
  • Regular presentation of tissue and cell diagnostic reports.
  • The ability to write lucid clinical audit reports.
  • Willingness to learn and embrace new forms of technology
