01. Group Finance Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially sharp, execution-focused Group Finance Manager to lead the financial strategy and governance of a fast-growing FMCG company with vertically integrated operations across East Africa, the UK, and Europe. This is a hands-on role for a finance leader who understands both the complexity of emerging markets and the demands of global consumer product businesses.
The Group Finance Manager will be a critical partner to the Managing Director, providing strategic insight while owning group-level financial planning, investor relations, risk management, and capital allocation. They will ensure financial discipline across all subsidiaries, build robust systems, and drive performance across the group.
Key Responsibilities
Group Financial Leadership
- Own the consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow across all entities.
- Develop and execute a 12–36-month financial strategy, aligned with business growth and investment priorities.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process across geographies.
Performance & Cost Management
- Implement margin improvement and working capital optimization initiatives.
- Drive group-level KPIs and financial accountability across business units.
- Oversee pricing strategy, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions.
Capital Allocation & Fundraising
- Support the CEO in investor relations, fundraising, and capital structuring.
- Lead on use-of-funds planning, return-on-capital analysis, and scenario modelling.
- Manage relationships with banks, equity investors, grant providers, and financial partners.
Governance & Risk
- Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and risk management.
- Lead audit processes and ensure financial integrity across jurisdictions.
- Set and oversee group-wide financial policies and controls.
Team Building & System Scaling
- Build and mentor finance teams across business units.
- Standardize and upgrade financial systems and reporting tools (preferably via Microsoft 365 stack).
- Implement a group-wide reporting cadence (monthly, quarterly, annual).

About You
Qualification:
Must-Have Experience
- Multiyear senior finance leadership within FMCG, ideally across both developed and emerging markets.
- Prior experience as Group Finance Manager or Finance Director in a multi-entity, multi-country setup.
- Track record of investor engagement (debt and/or equity).
- Strong grip on cost control, forecasting, and FX risk.
- Proven success driving performance in high-growth, capital-constrained environments.

Role Overview:
Lovegrass Agro-Processing Plc is seeking for an ambitious, eager-to-learn and talented Commercial Manager who want to take responsibility and accountability in actively build our company and brands. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective implementation of commercial strategies while managing day-to-day operations related to sales, marketing, and distribution. It involves overseeing recruitment, onboarding, systems management, and maintaining thorough reporting for overall commercial department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Successful management of marketing, sales and distribution department (processes and team)
- Successful preparation and implementation of annual strategy for marketing, sales and distribution, driven by data analysis
- Realization of revenues as per company targets
- Acquisition of market share as per company targets
- Acquisition of retail customers (supermarkets, minimarkets, souks, other) as per company targets
- Strategic development of distributors
- Effective execution of product distribution operations from factory and/or warehouse to customers
- Effective execution of sales operations (financial, administrative and planning)
- Effective execution of marketing operations (campaigns, promotions, etc.)
- Successful development of a strong consumer brand (branding)
- Measuring and reporting of marketing & sales performance
- Planning of marketing & sales operations
- Effective cooperation with other departments, especially finance (reporting) and production (planning and forecasting)
- Successful development of knowledge base regarding market trends and developments, consumers, retailers, distributors, competitors, etc.
- Other tasks assigned by the line manager
About You
- Minimum BA degree in Business Management, Marketing or Economics (or comparable)
- Experience: minimum 5 years of relevant work experience for a private organization in a sales & marketing role in FMCG Sector (e.g. snacks, food, beverages) of which minimum 2 years in a managerial position. Experience in a multinational organization is mandatory. Candidates with specific experience in sales & marketing to retail customers are preferred.
- Technical skills: fluent in Amharic and English (speaking and writing), analytically strong, strong computer skills, strategic thinker, very good planner, structured worker, very strong communications skills.
- Social skills: proven leadership skills, able to motivate and drive marketing & sales department, able to convince customers and colleagues, able to adapt and show leadership under challenging circumstances, good networker, serious and hard-working, eager to learn, good feedback mentality, creativity skills, taking responsibility & accountability.
- Entrepreneurial skills: proven ability and experience to set up a business (unit), preferably a marketing & sales department, flexible and autonomous leader, leading by example and actively involved in operations.
