Job Description
Job Summary:
Lead, launch, and scale an innovative BNPL asset/device financing startup within the group’s tech ecosystem. Own market entry, operations, and financial outcomes to drive rapid growth, profitability, and market leadership.
Translate the company’s strategic vision into a market-leading asset financing business.
Identify new customer segments, use cases, and distribution models to drive adoption and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Translate Vision & Strategy
- Translate and communicate the, growth strategy, and market positioning for the BNPL startup. Translate the company’s strategic vision into a market-leading asset financing business.
- Identify new revenue streams, product innovations, and emerging market opportunities. Identify new customer segments, use cases, and distribution models to drive adoption and long-term growth.
2. P&L Ownership & Fundraising Capital Efficiency
- Own the business unit’s full P&L, from top-line revenue to bottom-line profitability.
- Manage budgeting, financial forecasting, and capital expenditure decisions in collaboration with the group’s finance team.
3. Sales & Go-to-Market Execution
- Formulate and execute an aggressive go-to-market plan, leveraging both direct and partner-based channels.
- Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing sales team to meet ambitious growth targets.
- Collaborate with Marketing on brand-building, lead generation, and customer acquisition campaigns.
4. Credit & Risk Operations o Policy & Process Development
- Portfolio Management & Monitoring
- Collections & Recoveries
- Fraud Detection & Prevention
5. Customer Lifecycle & CX Management
- Ensure seamless onboarding, delivery, support, and upgrade journeys.
- Drive usage-based engagement to reduce churn and increase repayment reliability.
- Integrate remote customer service + field agent escalation processes.
6. Operations
- Supervise the Operations unit to ensure effective and efficient order fulfillment, inventory management (if applicable), and after-sales support.
- Implement standardized processes, SOPs, and service-level agreements to guarantee high-quality customer experience
- Maintain service-level standards across the customer lifecycle, from initial purchase through ongoing payments or device upgrades.
7. Team Building & Leadership
- Foster an entrepreneurial, results-driven culture, empowering teams to experiment, learn, and iterate.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion as the foundation of a high-performance organization.
8. Stakeholder Relations
- Develop and Maintain alliances with suppliers, distribution networks, financial institutions, and other industry stakeholders.
9. Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue growth, portfolio-at-risk (PAR), customer churn, and cost-to-acquire.
- Stay updated on market/technology trends to keep the startup at the forefront of BNPL innovation.
About You
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
- 10+ years in a leadership role, with at least 5 years’ experience scaling or managing financial products, fintech, BNPL, or consumer finance solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a P&L and lead high-growth, fast-paced ventures.
- Proven track record in driving credit/loan management, risk analytics, and/or underwriting (especially in emerging markets, if applicable).
Skills:
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and accountability for outcomes.
- Credit & Risk Acumen: Strong knowledge of lending regulations, credit scoring methodologies, and collections processes.
- Strategic & Hands-On: Ability to toggle between tactical and operational execution.
- Leadership & Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills to inspire teams and secure stakeholder buy-in.
