We have our headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, and a liaison office in London, UK, which is home to our parent organization, Pharo Management. Pharo Foundation seeks to engage a service provider to offer comprehensive training programs to enhance the skill sets and performance of its employees across multiple departments. This TOR outlines the key objectives, scope, methodology, deliverables, and timelines required for the training services.

Objectives of the Training
The primary objectives of the training program are to:
- Strengthen the capacity of employees in key areas such as procurement, finance, HR, leadership, safety, construction, healthcare, and more.
- Equip staff with the necessary technical and leadership skills for improved performance and productivity.
- Foster professional development in line with industry standards and organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations in critical sectors such as HR, safety, and medical fields.

The training provider can apply for one or multiple Lots from the following:

Deliverables
The service provider will deliver:
- Training Plans: Detailed course outlines and schedules for each department.
- Training Materials: Comprehensive training resources (e.g., presentations, guides, handouts).
- Trained Staff: A specified number of employees trained in each area.
- Reports: Evaluation reports on the effectiveness of training.
- Post-Training Support: Follow-up support and guidance as required.
Methodology
The training will be delivered using the following methods:
- Classroom-based Training: Face-to-face training sessions (depending on location and feasibility).
- Online Modules: E-learning or hybrid training programs where appropriate.
- Workshops/Seminars: Interactive workshops and seminars for hands-on learning.
- On-the-job Training: Practical training tailored to specific job roles.
Duration of Training
The total duration of the training program will depend on the specific training module .Specific timelines for each department and program will be determined in consultation with the service provider.
This TOR outlines the comprehensive training services required to enhance the capacity of Pharo Foundation’s teams across multiple departments. The selected training provider will contribute to the development of our staff, ensuring high standards of performance, compliance, and productivity.
About You
Required Qualifications of the Service Provider
The training provider should meet the following criteria:
- Experience: At least 6+ years of experience in delivering corporate training, especially in the sectors outlined above.
- Trainers’ Qualifications: Trainers must have recognized certifications and relevant experience in their respective fields.
- Reputation: Proven track record of successful training programs, ideally within similar organizations or sectors.
- Capacity: Ability to deliver large-scale training programs across various departments with diverse topics.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Training Methodology: Clarity and relevance of proposed training methodologies.
- Experience & Expertise: Proven ability to handle the scope of training programs and experience in the required sectors.
- Cost: Competitiveness and transparency of the cost proposal.
- References & Past Performance: Positive feedback from previous clients and demonstrated impact of past training initiatives.
- Delivery Schedule: Feasibility of the proposed timeline for delivering the training.
- Post-Training KPIs: Inclusion of measurable outcomes to assess long-term impact, such as “% improvement in job performance or compliance related to the training area.”
- Trainee Feedback Mechanism: Clear approach for collecting trainee feedback, including tools such as post-training surveys and follow-up assessments.
Terms and Conditions
- Payment Terms: Payment will be made in installments, based on agreed milestones and successful completion of training modules. The installments will be tied to the following deliverables: – 30% upon completion of Module 1 and submission of related materials – 40% upon completion of Module 2 and delivery of training outcomes – 30% upon completion of final Module(s) and submission of the final training report
- Confidentiality: All training materials, methodologies, and Pharo Foundation’s internal documents must remain confidential.
- Intellectual Property: All training materials created during the contract period shall be the intellectual property of Pharo Foundation.
Proposal Submission Instructions
Interested firms should submit the following:
- A detailed proposal outlining the training plan, methodologies, and timeline.
- The qualifications and experience of the trainers.
- A detailed cost breakdown.
- Past performance and references.
- Bidders must indicate the Lot number and title in the subject line or header of the proposal.
- Bidders may apply for one or multiple Lots, but each Lot must be submitted as a separate proposal (technical + financial).
