Job Summary:
Under the immediate supervision of the Procurement & Warehouse Department Manager, the Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, ensure proper inventory control, and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials, tools, and equipment. The Store Supervisor ensures the smooth functioning of the store in alignment with company procedures and project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate receiving, storing, and issuing of goods/materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, surpluses, or damages.
- Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
- Ensure items are stored safely and in an organized manner.
2. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate stock records and update the system or logbooks regularly.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to the Store Manager or Head Office.
- Ensure all receipts and issue vouchers are properly signed and filed.
3. Store Operations
- Supervise loading/unloading activities and verify goods against delivery notes.
- Monitor expiry dates, shelf-life, and storage conditions of sensitive items.
- Ensure FIFO/LIFO principles are followed depending on the item type.
- Tag and label assets and materials as per the company’s identification system.
4. Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise storekeepers and store assistants.
- Assign tasks and ensure timely completion of daily operations.
- Train junior staff on store procedures and safety standards.
5. Compliance and Safety
- Enforce store policies and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the store area.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
About You
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or other related field.
- Minimum of 5 years and at least 2 years in warehouse supervisory role, preferably in construction companies.
- Good command of MS Excel, inventory management systems, and ERP is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
