About Deborah Foundation
Established in 2019, Deborah Foundation is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. Our work focuses on three core areas: Health, Education, and Policy Advocacy, with the goal of creating a more inclusive and supportive society for all.
Through our flagship initiative, Deborah Academy, we operate one of the few inclusive schools in Ethiopia. The academy provides a safe and nurturing learning environment that values diversity, tolerance, and individual growth. We are committed to helping children reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally while fostering a culture of acceptance and empowerment for students, families, and educators alike.
Head of Grade 1–4 Department
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise educational delivery and planning for Grades 1 to 4.
- Ensure inclusive teaching practices across classrooms.
- Support staff in adapting curricula and assessments.
- Collaborate with families for student success.
About You
Qualifications
- BA/MA in Primary Education or Inclusive/Special Education.
- At least 3–5 years of teaching and supervisory experience.
- Proven ability to lead inclusive learning programs.
- Creativity
- Adaptability
- Communication
