Job Description
DURATION Open Contract/Indefinite Period
SALARY RANGE: Gross monthly salary of ETB 20,400 – 23,683 plus ETB 8,640.00 Housing allowance and ETB 3,300.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates qualification, experience and earning history
Purpose of the Job:
To perform the day-to-day activities in Needs Assessment, Curriculum and Material Production, and Evaluation by preparing and maintaining up to date data regarding the activities of the section and communicate with other officers within the section to facilitate work.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage in the development of data collection tools required to conduct research and needs assessment for trainings.
- Conduct research and needs assessment using appropriate tools, write research and assessment reports.
- Engage in Human Rights Education curriculum design and content development activities.
- Engage in continuous evaluation of the curriculum to ensure effectiveness and make improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
- Work on the evaluation outcomes regarding functional performance, internal operation, new innovations, environmental analysis related to Human Rights Education, etc., from various internal and external sources to revise the Human Rights Education Content.
- Work with various subject matter experts in generating ideas and contents in designing human rights education programmes.
- Collaborate with the Human Rights Education Delivery Unit to capture learning outcomes and enhance curriculum and content development efforts.
- Support thematic teams in development of promotional and awareness raising materials.
- Contribute to the revision of existing human rights education materials.
- Participate in a discussion forum with trainers to have a shared understanding of best practice in Human Rights Education.
- Participate in relevant working groups/committees and staff meetings.
- Contribute to regular reports of the section to the Director and other relevant organs.
- Provide advice and guidance to trainers on tools designed for the provision of trainings and the developed training materials.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by executives.
About You
Qualifications and Experience:
- LLB/LLM, in Human Rights Law, International Law.
- 4 years of relevant experience for LL.B and 2 years of relevant experience for LLM.
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of Amharic is required, and Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous
