The Deputy Principal plays a critical role in co-leading academic strategy, cultivating excellence in teaching, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the high school. This is a high-impact leadership position with direct influence on student outcomes, staff development, and school climate.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & School Management

  • Support the Principal in executing the school’s vision, policies, and long-term goals
  • Lead daily operations, including timetabling, discipline procedures, and performance reviews
  • Manage and mentor department heads and teaching staff to uphold high standards of instruction

Academic Oversight

  • Supervise curriculum planning and implementation across all subject areas
  • Use data and student assessment tools to monitor progress and guide instructional improvements
  • Ensure compliance with national standards and Pharo Foundation benchmarks

Teacher Development & Culture Building

  • Facilitate ongoing professional development and performance coaching
  • Build a collaborative, respectful, and empowering school culture
  • Promote innovation and continuous learning among staff

Student Success & Well-being

  • Champion inclusive education and pastoral care practices
  • Cultivate student leadership and holistic growth opportunities
  • Engage parents and the wider community to support student development

About You

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field
  • PGDT (Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching) – mandatory
  • Minimum 10 years of education experience, with at least 5 years in a senior school leadership role

Skills & Experience

  • Proven success managing operations and academic outcomes in a high school setting
  • Deep knowledge of curriculum standards, assessment frameworks, and school governance
  • Proficient in digital tools (Google Workspace, MS Office, school management systems)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with fluency in English
