As we expand, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant and Accountant, as well as a motivated Junior Accountant, to join our growing team.

Junior Accountant

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to provide essential support in delivering accurate and timely accounting services to a diverse client base. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to develop foundational skills in general accounting, tax compliance, inventory management, and cost accounting within a professional client-service environment.

The Junior Accountant will collaborate closely with senior team members to ensure proper transaction processing, maintain organized client records, and assist in financial reporting while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Processing & Record-Keeping

  • Accurately enter client financial transactions into accounting systems in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Assist in preparing client payment vouchers, sales invoices, receipts, and other supporting documentation.
  • Maintain well-organized and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Support

  • Assist in processing supplier invoices and verifying supporting documents for client accounts.
  • Support the preparation and issuance of client customer invoices and follow-up on collections.
  • Help reconcile supplier and customer accounts under the guidance of senior staff.

Bank & Cash Handling Assistance

  • Support recording and posting of daily bank and petty cash transactions for client accounts.
  • Assist in preparing client bank reconciliations by compiling statements and verifying transactions.

Tax & Compliance Assistance

  • Prepare draft tax schedules (e.g., VAT, withholding tax, social security) for client review and approval.
  • Ensure accurate filing and safekeeping of client tax documents in line with regulatory requirements.

Inventory Management Support

  • Assist in maintaining accurate client inventory records by recording stock movements and adjustments.
  • Participate in periodic physical stock counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Support investigations into inventory discrepancies as required by senior staff.

Import Cost Build-Up Assistance

  • Collect, organize, and file client import-related documents such as invoices, customs declarations, and freight bills.
  • Assist in compiling import cost elements for review and allocation by the Accountant or Senior Accountant.

Month-End & Year-End Support

  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for client account reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Assist in gathering and compiling data for management review and audit processes.

About You

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience:

  • Zero to one year of relevant accounting or finance experience is advantageous.

Technical Expertise:

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards, preferably with exposure to IFRS/GAAP.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Peachtree is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

Core Competencies:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new responsibilities.

Good organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.

Ability to collaborate well within a team and follow established procedures and instructions
