Duration of the contract: 12 months with a possibility of extension

Background

EDI is committed to maintaining efficient administrative operations and effective human resource management to support the achievement of its mission and strategic objectives.

To strengthen its regional and headquarters capacity, EDI seeks to recruit a qualified Senior Administration and HR Assistant who will support both administrative functions and HR operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day office management and compliance with HR policies.

The Sustainable Employment through Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development (SEED) Program is designed to enable young women and men to access dignified work through relevant skill enhancement, and entrepreneurship and enterprise development. In the next five years, a total of 1 million young people (80% young women and 10% vulnerable groups – homeless and internally displaced youth) will be enabled to find dignified work in 231,000 enterprises (205,000 new and 25,000 existing micro enterprises as well as 1,000 innovative startups). SEED is led by Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI.

Job purpose and justification

Senior Administrative and Human resource Assistant supports daily office operations and human resource functions, including logistics, record management, recruitment and staff support. The role ensures efficient administration, accurate HR documentation, and compliance with EDI policies. Justification for hiring is replacement of staff.

Duty Station

EDI Headquarters – Wosen Area, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

About You

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant Admin and HR experience.
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian labor law and HR best practices is an advantage.

Duration of Employment

The position is full-time, with an initial contract period of one year, renewable based on performance and organizational needs.
