Job Description
Project Background
Amref Health Africa in Ethiopia is leading a stand-alone capacity-building initiative focused on strengthening the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) capabilities of 17 Strategic Civil Society (SCS) partner organizations through the application of Outcome Harvesting (OH). This initiative builds on Amref’s experience with OH in advocacy and youth-focused programs like Power to You(th), aiming to institutionalize OH as a core MEL tool across CSOs. The project includes training workshops, coaching support, digital storytelling, and knowledge product development to help organizations capture complex, non-linear outcomes—especially in policy influence, civic engagement, and gender equity. It emphasizes adaptive learning, accountability, and inclusive participation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule internal and external meetings, calls, and project events among CSOs, ensuring effective communication among team members.
- Support coaching and mentoring for the project.
- Facilitate digital learning and exchange initiatives among CSOs.
- Support the development of knowledge products for the project
- Assist in the preparation and dissemination of learning materials and documentation
- Use available materials, guidelines, and manuals to ensure quality project implementation.
- Compile and support the submission of periodic reports.
- Facilitate and participate in regular meetings with project teams and various stakeholders, including CSOs, as per the project plan.
- Organize and facilitate relevant workshops, training sessions, and post-training follow-ups.
- Participate in technical/integrated supportive supervision activities for the project.
- Support project monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Develop and document best practices, lessons learned, case stories, and visual materials.
- Follow up on action items and task progress.
- Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly work plans in collaboration with the project team.
- Support project documentation efforts.
- Organize and maintain project files for all partners, including meeting minutes.
- Provide logistical support for project-related events and trips.
- Prepare cash advances and financial documents to facilitate project activities.
- Facilitate baseline studies and research activities as required.
- Coordinate and ensure that the project’s administrative processes, such as logistics and policies, are fully implemented according to procedures.
- Support RMNCAYH Program youth engagement activities and initiatives.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Zero years of work experience
- Background in project management, public health, Monitoring and evaluation, Research or related fields.
- Training design and coordination experience.
- Experience in workshop delivery, coaching, and mentoring support.
- Skills in digital learning exchange facilitation.
- Ability to develop a final knowledge product and prepare learning materials.
Skills and Attitudes
