Position: Intern in Communication and Visibility

Position Overview
We are looking for a committed and motivated intern in communication and visibility to join our team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to obtain practical experience in visibility and communications efforts aimed at promoting our mission and enhancing our impact on global communities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing engaging content for newsletters, social media, websites, success stories, factsheets, and reports that highlight our projects’ achievements and impact.
- Develop communication and visibility materials, such as blog posts, infographics, social media posts, and press releases.
- Gather and compile project news and updates on a regular basis and post them on HInside.
- Support the documentation and archiving of publications.
- Follow the management and growth of our social media presence by creating posts, engaging with followers, and tracking analytics to measure effectiveness, as well as creating a new platform in consultation with the SMT.
- Collaborate with other teams to design and implement visibility campaigns that highlight key issues from projects.
- Help organize and promote events, workshops, and outreach activities, ensuring effective communication with participants and stakeholders.
- Conduct on-site visits to project locations to capture high-quality photos and videos that showcase our work and the stories of beneficiaries through candid moments and interviews.
- Manage the administrative email address of the organization (Contact@Ethiopia.hi.org) and disseminate the email/information to the concerned department heads.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to communications, including maintaining archives, preparing materials, and compiling reports.
- Manage a small reading corner or gallery inside office premises.
- Other activities related to this component will be discussed with the intern as they arise.

Job Requirement
Qualifications:
Education:
- A recent graduate with a degree in digital design, computer science, communications, photography and editing, foreign languages, or related fields with certification in digital design.
Skills:
- Excellent English language proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, basic graphic design skills, and familiarity with content management systems are essential.
- Excellent skills in digital design software
- Knowledge of design and video editing
- Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding of global issues and the ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings.
- Detail-Oriented: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
