Job Description

East Africa Bottling S.C., a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa and the exclusive bottler of Coca-Cola products in Ethiopia, is pleased to invite passionate and qualified candidates to apply for the position  Country Lead: Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand position, which is based in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate will report directly to the People & Culture Director.

Key Purpose

To contribute to the company’s vision by developing and executing strategies to attract, engage, and recruit talent while strengthening the company’s employer brand, in alignment with Business priorities. This role will drive the full talent acquisition life cycle and employer branding initiatives to ensure the company remains competitive, attractive, and well positioned as an employer of choice.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition/Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment partners and agencies.

Talent Acceleration/Talent Development:

  • Design and execute talent development programs that align with organizational goals and employee career paths.
  • Identify high-potential employees and create customized development plans to accelerate their growth.
  • Collaborate with managers to provide coaching and support for employee performance and career development.

Employer Branding:

  • Develop and promote the employer brand to attract and retain top talent.
  • Create compelling employer branding campaigns and content across various platforms.
  • Monitor employer brand perception and implement strategies to enhance our reputation as an employer of choice

Learning and Development:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, in particular, functions with capability development portfolios, to identify learning objectives and create a comprehensive learning curriculum.
  • Facilitate and/or co-ordinate workshops, training sessions, and other learning experiences to develop employee competencies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and make continuous improvements based on feedback and performance data.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance expectations and improvement plans.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for development.

Skills, Experience & Education

Education

  • BA degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in talent acquisition, talent development, and employer branding, of which 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Talent Development Expertise: Strong understanding of talent development strategies, including performance management, career development, succession planning, and learning initiatives.

Skills

  • Should have a comprehensive skill set that combines HR knowledge, leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and a strong focus on employee development and organizational growth.
  • Ability to think strategically, drive results, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of talent development professionals, including providing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, present ideas, and convey complex information clearly.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and metrics tracking to assess the effectiveness of talent development programs and make data-driven decisions.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor talent development projects within deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Innovative Thinking: Ability to innovate and propose creative solutions to talent development challenges, such as implementing new learning technologies or strategies.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Building: Skill in building strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and industry experts to support talent development initiatives and stay updated on best practices.
