We are looking for an Audio Recording Production professional (individuals) who produce high-quality, professional audio recordings for health-related program scripts, communications, and marketing materials. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in audio recording, editing, and post-production, ensuring the final output is clean, engaging, and compatible with various audio applications.
Job Responsibilities
The main role of the Audio Recording Production professional is
Voiceover Production & Recording:
Record high-quality, professional voiceovers for health-related scripts, including but not limited to:
– Radio & TV advertisements
– Digital health learning apps (e-learning modules, instructional videos)
– Public service announcements and health awareness campaigns
– Marketing and promotional materials
Audio Editing & Post-Production:
– Edit and refine raw recordings to ensure clarity, consistency, and a polished final output.
– Remove background noise, clicks, pops, and other audio imperfections.
– Adjust pacing, tone, and emphasis to match the intended messaging and audience engagement.
Sound Design & Mixing (if applicable):
– Sync voiceovers with background music, sound effects, or other audio elements
– Balance audio levels for optimal listening experience across different platforms (broadcast, digital, mobile).
Quality Control & Technical Standards:
– Ensure all recordings meet industry-standard audio quality (proper bitrate, sample rate, and file formats).
– Adapt voiceover style based on target audience (e.g., formal for medical professionals vs. conversational for public awareness).
About You
Job Requirements
Education
- BSc Degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, Communication, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory if offset by strong experience).
Experience
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the relevant field, preferably with demonstrated experience within the humanitarian or development sector
- Experience in recording health-related materials, particularly for international NGOs
- Proficiency in studio recording, audio mixing, sound effects, and post-production editing
- A proven ability to produce audio using native speakers of Ethiopian local languages, matching the required gender variation as per script specifications
Technical Skills
- Experience with professional audio equipment and editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Pro Tools)
- Ability to deliver final audio in compatible formats for various platforms
Languages
- Fluency in Amharic, additional local language would be highly desirable
- English (fluent) – essential
