Job Description
Background
After the war in Tigray and Amahra regions, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face significant despair and hopelessness due to the destruction of businesses, loss of infrastructure, and financial strain. Many business owners have lost years of work, while the uncertain economic environment and limited opportunities for recovery create anxiety about the future. Struggling with debt and disrupted cash flow, SME owners and employees face mounting stress as they navigate disrupted supply chains, job insecurity, and heightened competition for scarce resources. These challenges exacerbate their emotional burden, leaving many unsure of how or when they will recover.
To this end, PETCO Ethiopia is planning to procure an Integrative Group Trauma Recovery Service for SMEs in War-Affected Areas of Tigray and Amhara Regions. This intervention is a foundational component of the newly launched five-year youth employment program called “Enabling Young Women and Men to Find Dignified and Fulfilling Work in Manufacturing.”
