About the role

You’ll be instrumental in developing and delivering Ripple Effect’s global communication strategies, ensuring we reach and engage diverse audiences including supporters, funders and donors. This will involve close collaboration with colleagues across Africa and in the UK to strengthen our brand, tell powerful and compelling stories, show our impact, and inspire action. Your key responsibilities will span helping to shape our global messaging, coordinating key literature, and managing our writing style guide. Alongside this, you will provide communications support for campaigns and appeals, amplify visibility around our events and build media relationships to reach target audiences. Fostering internal team connection and consistently upholding Ripple Effect’s ‘Africa Forward Together’ approach will also be an important part of your role. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with teams in Africa and the UK to drive communications that showcase our impact, inspire action and empower communities to create a ripple effect of change

About You

We are seeking a talented Communications Executive who ideally holds a degree in marketing, communications or PR. You’ll bring solid experience from a communications or marketing role, preferably within a charity or international development organisation, with a proven track record of managing projects, meeting tight timelines, and transforming real-life stories into engaging content for campaigns and media coverage.

Familiarity with media scanning, identifying opportunities, and supporting event communications is essential. Your core strengths must include exceptional verbal and written English skills, the ability to comfortably initiate conversations, gather information from diverse sources, and contribute innovative ideas to our wider communications strategy.
