Deadline: July 18, 2025
Job Description
Role Summary:
The Data Analyst will transform raw program and learner data into strategic insights that drive continuous improvement across our MSME training initiatives. You will build and manage end-to-end data pipelines—integrating information from Moodle, the Telegram Bot, the Lending App, and in-person sessions—then develop interactive dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), inform training design, and measure impact. By partnering closely with the Strategic Learning Manager, Regional Coordinators, and Digital Training Associate, you will ensure data-driven decision-making underpins every phase of rollout, evaluation, and scale-up.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Integration & Management
- Design and maintain automated ETL processes to consolidate data from digital platforms (Moodle, Bot, App) and field reports into a centralized database.
- Ensure data quality through validation checks, anomaly detection, and regular audits.
Dashboard & Report Development
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) that track KPIs such as course completion rates, learner engagement, assessment scores, and TNA outcomes.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports highlighting trends, successes, and areas for improvement for internal teams and senior leadership.
Program Evaluation & Experimentation Support
- Collaborate with the Strategic Learning Manager to design and analyze A/B tests, pilot studies, and quasi-experimental evaluations of new training modules or delivery methods.
- Produce statistical analyses (cohort comparisons, regression models, segmentation) to measure program effectiveness and ROI.
Insight Generation & Recommendations
- Translate quantitative findings into clear, actionable insights—identifying friction points in digital engagement, regional performance discrepancies, or content gaps.
- Present data-driven recommendations in stakeholder workshops, helping to shape curriculum updates, learner support interventions, and rollout strategies.
Ad-Hoc Analysis & Capacity Building
- Respond to urgent data requests from regional teams, program managers, or external partners with timely analyses.
- Train non-technical staff on dashboard usage, basic data interpretation, and best practices for recording and reporting field data.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics—ideally within education, development, or training programs.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with Python or R for statistical analysis and automation.
- Strong understanding of experimental design, cohort analysis, and program evaluation methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills—able to distill complex analyses into concise, visually compelling presentations.
Core Competencies

- Data Visualization: Crafts intuitive, interactive dashboards that enable stakeholders to explore trends independently.
- Collaborative Mindset: Works seamlessly with cross-functional teams to align data outputs with program goals.
