Job Summary:

The Director of Invoice Financing & Cashflow Solutions will lead all strategic, operational, and product-related functions within a fast-growing technology company specializing in invoice financing solutions. This role involves shaping the vision, setting the roadmap, driving innovation, and ensuring sustainable growth for the company’s core financing products. The ideal candidate will combine a deep knowledge of financial services (particularly invoice financing, factoring, and supply chain finance) with a proven track record of leadership in a technology-driven environment.

The director is responsible for leading and scaling a portfolio of working capital products focused on receivables and transaction-backed financing. The role carries full P&L ownership and oversees strategy, product related functions, credit execution, and institutional partnerships. The director will drive adoption, portfolio performance, and operational efficiency through anchor-based financing models and embedded credit workflows.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s overall strategy for invoice financing solutions in alignment with the broader organizational goals.
  • Identify and assess new market opportunities, driving product expansion and innovation.

2. Product Management & Innovation

  • Oversee the product roadmap for entire cashflow solutions & invoice financing offerings, ensuring continuous improvement and differentiation in the marketplace.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, data, and design teams to deliver user-centric and regulatory-compliant products.

3. Operational Excellence

  • Establish and maintain robust processes for underwriting, risk assessment, fraud prevention, and collection strategies.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, including the implementation of scalable systems and process automation to support high-growth environments.

4. Credit Execution & Risk Oversight

  • Oversee credit workflows, underwriting, exposure limits, and risk monitoring.
  • Ensure policy alignment with group credit operations and risk analytics.

5. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

  • Stay current on relevant regulations (e.g., KYC/AML requirements, lending regulations) to mitigate risk and protect the company’s reputation.
  • Implement strict compliance procedures, policies, and reporting practices in partnership with the legal and compliance teams.

6. Team Building & Leadership

  • Recruit, manage, and mentor a high-performing team responsible for product development, underwriting, operations, and partnerships.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture within cross-functional teams.

7. Partnership & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with anchor institutions, including corporates, government entities, and development partners, to drive adoption of receivables-based financing.
  • Coordinate with financial institutions, fintech partners, and procurement platforms to embed credit offerings within relevant channels.
  • Represent the business unit in external engagements, including industry events, regulatory discussions, and strategic partner forums.
  • Ensure that partner expectations are aligned with financing structures, operational processes, and risk protocols.

8. Financial Performance & Reporting

  • Develop and manage budgetary plans for the division, reporting on key financial metrics to the executive team and the board.
  • Drive profitability, revenue growth, and high customer satisfaction, ensuring targets and KPIs are consistently met or exceeded.

9. Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements, making data-driven recommendations for future product and strategy initiatives.
  • Conduct regular portfolio analyses, measuring the effectiveness of risk models, pricing strategies, and return on investment.

About You

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or a related sector with a focus on invoice financing, factoring, or supply-chain finance.
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in a senior management or executive capacity at a high-growth or technology-driven organization.
  • Technical & Domain Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of underwriting, portfolio risk management, and financial product structuring in the context of invoice financing.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices for financial services.
  • Leadership & Management:
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with an aptitude for navigating complex, high-stakes environments.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
  • Experience using data and analytics to drive decision-making, create forecasting models, and mitigate risk.
  • Ability to develop and articulate a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with corporate strategy and market needs.
