ASDEPO is a local Civil Society Organization that has been working in all Regions of Ethiopia towards ensuring the poorest and most vulnerable and those affected by humanitarian crises have access to the fundamental rights of life, including but not limited to adequate shelter, food and livelihoods, water and sanitation, nutrition, healthcare and education. ASDEPO implements a range of multi-sectorial development, resilience, recovery and humanitarian responses Programmes by being sensitive to cross-cutting issues.
Key roles and Responsibilities
- Ensures that all generators, pumps, distribution systems, tap stands, water storage tanks, pipe lines and all technical parts function for intended purpose.
- Maintain and repair generators, pumps, distribution systems, tap stands, water storage tanks, pipe lines and all technical parts.
- Provide technical assistance on the proper use of solar powered water pumps and all mechanical parts.
- Conduct routine preventive/predictive Maintenance regularly.
About You
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and related).
- Strong technical knowledge of WASH interventions, including water supply, sanitation, hygiene promotion and behavior change.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ working experiences
- NGO experience is required.
- Willingness to travel frequently in the project areas and to work under challenging conditions.
- Ability to work within a team structure or independently, flexible, and can cope with stressful workload
Desirable
- Knowledge on Refugee context is preferred.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Local language
