Job Description

Local – Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)

Major Activities

  • Participate in selection, registration and verification of beneficiary HHs, receive approved beneficiaries list for seeds, Commodity; food and NFI, voucher, cash support and other trainings.
  • Participate in transportation, distribution of seeds, Commodity; food and NFI from Woreda capital to the distribution points/kebeles together with emergency response office.
  • Leads, guides, orients, coaches, supports the commodity distributors and supervises and monitors, analyzes consumption the distributed daily activities.
  • Setting up and strengthen Compliance Response Mechanism (CRM) in all FDPs.
  • EWS and Community engagement
  • Implement overall the EWS activities

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in relief and/or emergency response program.
  • Basic English spoken and writing.
  • Skill in routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Able to carry out limited, un-supervised tasks.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • BA/BSc Degree in social science fields such as Rural Development, Economics, Disaster Risk Management, Agriculture and other related fields

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications special criteria

  • Emergency Response General Food Distribution Experience and is More Preferable

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

  • Work environment: Based in WVE-NPH JEOP operational areas
  • Frequent domestic travel within the targeted woredas
