Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

Business Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather and clarify business requirements for sponsorship systems, tools, and process improvements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, surveys, and observation to understand field-level pain points and success drivers.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, structured requirement documents, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure requirements are traceable, testable, and aligned with WVI sponsorship objectives and global process standards.
  • Collaborate with IT/product owners and process teams to validate feasibility and solution alignment.

Process Analysis & Optimisation

  • Analyse existing sponsorship processes (e.g., child-sponsor engagement etc) to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Map current and future state workflows using tools and visualisation methods (e.g., swimlane diagrams, etc.).
  • Support business process improvement initiatives by providing data-driven insights and root cause analyses.
  • Work with field, region, GC, SO office teams and process owners to test and refine new processes for clarity, feasibility, and impact.
  • Ensure process documentation reflects global standards and field realities and is accessible for training and execution.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Engage sponsorship stakeholders from field, regional, support office, and global teams to understand user needs and change impacts.
  • Maintain regular communications with end users to ensure alignment between business needs and technical development.
  • Facilitate joint design sessions and user validation reviews for new features and process enhancements.
  • Translate technical or abstract concepts into accessible language and visual representations for decision-makers and field teams.
  • Act as a liaison between functional experts, product owners, and implementation teams throughout project cycles.

Data & Systems Insight

  • Conduct data analysis and reporting on sponsorship operational trends, system usage, and performance metrics.
  • Support dashboard development and reporting tools that inform process improvement and decision-making.
  • Use analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) to derive actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Partner with field and regional teams to validate and contextualise findings to ensure data reflects operational reality.
  • Identify data gaps or integrity issues that affect process performance or system outputs.

Support Change Management & Adoption

  • Contribute to user training, communication, and rollout materials by ensuring alignment with business requirements and user workflows.
  • Help coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with field stakeholders, collecting feedback and documenting results.
  • Identify field readiness gaps and collaborate with enablement leads to address them through tools, training, and coaching.
  • Ensure all changes are documented in sponsorship knowledge bases, and that lessons learned are integrated into future cycles.
  • Act as a champion for user experience and field practicality in all design and implementation activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or

Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or other related field or equivalent work experience.

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant technical and business work experience.
  • Experience in working Area Program/Cluster Office/National Office for 3-5 years.
  • Requires leadership skills, experience/in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes.
  • Strength in building and managing effective work relationships with both local and dispersed colleagues.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to facilitate solutions to complex issues.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with many different functions and cultures.
  • Experience collaborating with teams in diverse locations and from different backgrounds

Required Language(s)

  • Excellent written and verbal English is required.

Required travel and/or work environment accommodations

  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15 % of the time.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge and/or other Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, collaborative, facilitation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage teams effectively in dynamic changing environment.
  • Understanding and experience of development industry with preference to child sponsorship-based programming approaches and models.
  • Strong understanding of Sponsorship Business platforms such as Horizon-Hope (Desktop & Mobile), Horizon-Engage, Horizon-Share.
