Job Description

Role Overview Summary

Provide technical support to promote VSO’s Volunteering for Development (VfD) approach.

The Volunteer will work with other volunteers, staff, partners, and primary actors to deepen the impact of the VfD approach in VSO programmes; promote the uptake of global volunteering standard with partners; and engage with citizens and youth to promote and adopt the responsible and impactful volunteering.

The volunteer will provide technical support to diverse partners, organizations’, and networks to mainstream VfD in development and policy frameworks; and create spaces for sharing best practice and knowledge in volunteerism.

Additional Information

Allowance and accommodation

All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home.

VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which means accommodation varies and will be basic.
