About Deborah Foundation
Established in 2019, Deborah Foundation is a registered non-profit organization in Ethiopia with a mission to improve the lives of children with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities through support in Health, Education, and Policy Advocacy.
Summary:
The ICT Teacher and Librarian is responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive technology integration curriculum, as well as managing the school’s library and ICT room. This combined role promotes the integration of technology-enhanced learning experiences, and fosters students’ digital literacy
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Develop assessment methods to evaluate students’ understanding and progress.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of ICT resources, including computers, software, and peripherals.
- Oversee the library to ensure cleanliness, order, and protection of the library’s resources
- Develop and organize library inventory (e.g. with books, collections, periodicals, multimedia, etc.)
- Conduct regular checks and updates on database information
- Help students with reading materials and references
About You
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in a relevant field
- Minimum one years of experience as a school librarian or as an ICT teacher
- Excellent knowledge of children’s and young adult literature, as well as digital resources and information literacy
- Strong technology skills and the ability to integrate various media and tools into instruction and library services
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Previous experience working with students with special needs.
- Knowledge of teaching practices for students with special needs.
