Position Overview
JaRco is seeking a full-time IT Officer to manage and oversee the company’s daily IT operations. The role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and timely execution of IT-related logistics and operational procedures, helping the organization maximize productivity through effective use of technology.
The IT Officer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization’s IT systems, hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This role involves ensuring seamless IT operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing key solutions to enhance the organization’s productivity and data security. The position demands a proactive approach in system maintenance, IT support, and strategic planning, working closely with cross-functional teams to align IT capabilities with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
- Provide comprehensive technical support and troubleshooting to employees, resolving IT-related issues promptly and efficiently.
- Implement and monitor robust system backups and security protocols, safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring business continuity.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to identify IT needs and recommend innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
- Conduct regular system updates to maintain optimal performance and prevent system vulnerabilities.
- Manage IT inventory, including procurement, installation, and maintenance of all equipment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide training and support to employees on IT systems.
- Prepare and present clear, concise IT performance and activity reports highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
About You
Required Competencies
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and network management
- Ability to quickly resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and disruptions in the office.
- Expertise in data protection protocols and secure handling data.
- Experience deploying IT systems and solutions
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple IT tasks and ensure timely delivery of solutions and upgrades.
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability, particularly in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Related Field
- Experience (Preferred): 5+ years of experience in IT support,
- Office suites (MS Office, iWork)
