Job Description
Job Summary
The IT and Reporting Officer will be responsible for providing ICT and reporting support to the WFP GFD Program in Alemwach/Dabat, establishing organizational-standard ICT systems, supporting Samaritans Purse staff with ICT-related needs, and assisting the WFP GFD Program with necessary reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Configuration of new computers or existing SP-owned computers for new users as per the organizational standards for computer setup
- Processing of SP email accounts for incoming staff
- Installation of wired and wireless local area networks
- Developing basic user manuals for Microsoft Office applications
- Training Programs Online Development (POD) users
- Keeping software on all SP-owned computers and ICT devices up-to-date
- Scheduling preventive maintenance of ICT assets in all locations
- Maintaining an updated inventory of SP assets in Ethiopia
- Programming of HF and VHF handheld radios as necessary
- Guiding colleagues through troubleshooting procedures of computer issues via email, phone calls, face to face discussions or Skype
- Undertaking minor hardware repairs on SP-owned computers
- With a generous and serving spirit performing all other tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of Samaritans Purse.
- Helping in managing the GDT system during GFD activities at each camp during general food distribution.
- Hand over the GDTs which we will receive from WFP and UNHCR and keep them properly according to SP asset management policy.
- Collecting waybills from store keepers and updating the Commodity Tracker Sheet every day, filling all copies of waybills for receipts and dispatch, and completing other supporting documents for GFD.
- Producing monthly CPDRs report in collaboration with GFD Coordinator and store keeper.
- Monitor the help desk workers and assist them in recoding the data.
- Compiling complaint reports and submit immediately after completion of the monthly GFD
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 2 years working experience with an international NGO in a similar capacity
LANGUAGE
- Proficiency in English and Amharic
- Knowledge of the regional language required
- Knowledge of any other national language is a plus
