Medical Team International is looking for qualified applicants for the following positions:

Job Title: Nutrition Intern

Place of Work: Gonder Filed Office

Job Opening Date: 04 August 2025

Workdays & Hours: Monday-Friday, 40-48 hours/week, occasional weekends and public holidays.

JOB SUMMARY

The main purpose of the job is to ensure quality reporting on Nutrition programs for vulnerable refugee and host populations in MTI operations in Ethiopia. This position will be responsible for data collection and verification on all MTI operational areas.

JOB RESPONSIBITIES

  • Support the nutrition experts in collecting, organizing, filing or documenting regular nutrition program data and reports.
  • Assist in organizing and booking nutrition program related meetings, workshops and trainings.
  • Assist and participate in reviewing program based success stories and lessons.
  • Participate in nutrition and health sectoral trainings in consultation with his/her supervisor.
  • Assist in the timely submission of PRs, sectoral and cluster based regular updates and reports from field.
  • Demonstrate progressive learning and engage in continuous self-development path under the direct supervision of his/her supervisor.
  • Compile and share project bi-weekly and monthly report.
  • Follow up procurements at Addis level and prepare and update procurement plans.
  • Compile pipelines and facilitate review and on time sharing from field offices.
  • Facilitate approval and settlement of advances from field offices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

About You

EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTFICATION

  • BSC degree on Health, Nutrition, or related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 and above.
  • Only Female Candidates are preferred

  • Knowledge of Nutrition program
  • Fluent spoken and written in Amharic and English.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations.
  • Excellent communicator

  • Negotiation and representation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving Computer literate, able to work efficiently in Microsoft office on standard or mobile platforms.

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

This position requires frequent travel to health facilities located in remote areas with very basic living conditions.
