Job Description
Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resources Association (EWNRA) is a registered nongovernmental organization working to improve food security, livelihood bases and enhance sustainable management of natural resources in Ethiopia. EWNRA is currently implementing a projects entitled REGRADE II Project in East Belessa Woreda (District) of Central Gondar in partnership with and funding of Concern Worldwide. EWNRA would like to invite dynamic and creative applicants for the following position.
Job Purpose:
- Plans, coordinate, monitor and follow-up procurement, warehousing, property administration and store management activities and services of the organization; ensure efficient and
- Effectiveness of the procurement and supply of goods and services; safe custody of materials and properties available in store and fixed assets, oversee vehicle management activity.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, monitor and follow-up the procurement of goods and services, safety and security of properties and materials available in store or warehouses;
- Undertake distribution of goods and supplies to requesting units/staff members,
- Take the responsibility of administration of own and acquired properties, assets and vehicle of the project;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of plan, policies and procedures to improve the economy and efficiency of operations related to purchasing, property administration
- available in warehouses or stores, supply and distribution of goods and services to requesting project staff/units, organizing vehicle management and vehicle administration;
- Coordinate preparation of bid documents and analysis of bid offers to select best bidders ensuring quality, economy, delivery time and other advantages consistent with the organization’s policy;
- Ensure that purchases are affected at the lowest cost possible consistent with quality standards and the efficient usage of warehouse space;
- Undertake the analysis of supply and delivery conditions to determine current and future availability of supplies, equipment and services;
- Monitor and follow-up that purchase advances are settled on time and that purchased items are delivered to stores against proper documents;
- Ensures the receipt of purchase requests from staff members/work units according to the procurement plan and procurement procedures;
- Handles insurance matters including buying and renewing insurance policies, filing claims, and submitting reports in case of accidents;
- Undertake procurement of goods and services from local sources;
- Follow up stock positions and stock movement closely;
- Direct and controls the distribution of supplies and equipment to staff/units within the limits of budgetary provisions and approved work programs;
- Undertake the coding and registration of vehicle, property and physical inventory of store items and other property in accordance with established schedules;
- Assign driver when there is field trip
- Prepare contract agreements;
- Maintain systematic and accurate records of all moveable and immovable property;
- Prepare and submits annual work plan and budget and periodic performance reports;
- Prepares and submits periodic activity reports;
- Performs other related duties as required

Accountability
- In line with EWNRA’s commitments under the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS):
- Actively promote meaningful community participation and consultation at all stages of the project cycle (planning, implementation, M&E);
- work with relevant colleagues to ensure that the Complaints and Response Mechanism (CRM) is functional and accessible, that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed;
- Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that information about CRM, safeguarding and expected staff behavior is disseminated among program participants and communities.

About You
Person specification:
- BA Degree/Diploma in Management/ Purchasing and Supplies Management/ /Economics/Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related fields
- 2/4 years of relevant experience preferably in NGO sector; of which 1 year as junior procurement officer or 2 years as purchaser or property administration officer or logistics and supply officer
