HUNDEE – Oromo Grassroots Development Initiative is a local non-partisan, not-for profit and secular charity organization established in April 1995. Currently, our organization seeks to hire competent and qualified candidate who fulfill the following criteria of the position.

Job Summary

The post is a professional job that requires the ability to plan, organize, supervise, direct and coordinate the overall operation of FF HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Service project that was under implementation in Shashamane, Adola, Shakiso/Oddo Shakiso, Negele, Bule Hora and Yabelo Towns of Oromia National Regional State.

The PC is primarily responsible to manage the human, logistics and financial resources of the Project, and also prepare & submit regular performance reports to all relevant stakeholders.

Major duties and responsibilities

  • Under the supervision and direction of Project Focal Person, the Project Coordinator is responsible to/for:
  • Plan, organize, supervise, and manage the overall activity of FF HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Service project; human, logistics and financial resources of the project,
  • Design annual and quarterly physical and financial plan of the allocated projects based on HUNDEE and ISHDO’s guidelines.
  • Ensure that the projects’ team understands project’s objectives, theory of change and design, translate project goals into project plans that guide day to day work,
  • Provide regular technical assistance and supportive supervision to project staff and also facilitate the capacity development of colleagues and working closely with ISHIDO’s staff.
  • Facilitate, coordinate and conduct the familiarization of project team and stakeholders with the project approaches.
  • Monitor activities achieved through physical supervision and field reports.
  • Facilitate and coordinate performance improvement review meetings and workshops on quarterly, biannually, and annual basis with stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationship with key stakeholders
  • Adhere to the administrative policy of HUNDEE in all courses of action and provide information about the project as per the regulations of the organization,
  • Ensure that the systems are in place and implemented to regularly collect data that identifies project progress relative to goals; closely monitor progress towards the desired project results and pursued to understand the causes of poor performance when it occurs.
  • Produce periodic project performance reports according to the requirements of the donor and government bureaus: Monthly, quarterly, annual, interim and final reports
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders including donors, learning institutions, networks and NGO representatives to identify opportunities, synergies and partnerships for HUNDEE program.
  • Perform other duties assigned by his/her immediate supervisor or other delegate

Job Requirements

Required Qualification and Experience

  •  MA/MSc or BA/BSc in Business Administration/Management, Economics, Health and related academic background and also experiences in the area of project coordination, proposal and donor report writing are preferred; Minimum of 8/10 years relevant work experience; out of which 4/6 years should be related to Supervisory/Managerial/Project Coordination position/role (Particularly on HIV related projects).

Language ability

  •  Ability to speak, read and write in Afaan Oromo, Amharic and English languages
