Job Description
The Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Associations (CCRDA) and the CORE Group Partners Project (CGPP) support and coordinate efforts of PVO`s /NGO`s operating in Ethiopia on polio eradication, routine immunization, Community Based Disease Surveillance and Global Health Security initiatives. The Global Health Security project is being implemented in Oromia, Benshangul Gumuz, Gambella, Somali, Southwest Ethiopia and Southern Ethiopia regional states. CCRDA/CGPP would like to invite applicants for the following position.

Job Summary:
The Partnership and Capacity Building Advisor for Local Partners plays a pivotal role in facilitating collaborations between the organization and local entities, as well as in enhancing the capabilities of those partners that are members of CGPP. He/she is responsible for fostering productive relationships, identifying areas for collaboration, and supporting the growth and development of local partners to ensure mutual success.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
This comprehensive role requires strategic thinking, financial acumen, project management expertise, technical proficiency, and a commitment to enhancing health outcomes.
- Provide support and technical assistant (TA) for regional health bureaus, Zonal health department and Woreda health offices on identifying, reaching and monitoring zero dose, children in prioritized woredas.
- Support during micro-planning to identify and map zero-dose children and missed communities in selected high priority zero woredas.
- Identifying capacity-related gaps of existing local partners by assessing their strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in project implementation.
- Provide TA support during multi-age catch up vaccination campaign.
- Conduct regular follow up and support in identification of how many zero-dose children are reached, in each specific priority woredas and provide regular feedback by analyzing local level data.
- Provide technical support for in any demand creation activities specially advocacy by designing tailored materials to the context using local data, and awareness creation to address barriers for RI, including gender-related barriers.
- Provide technical support for new vaccine introduction, preparation for yellow fever introduction and scale up of HepB BD.
- Provide technical support in micro-plan, implementation, conducting rapid convince survey during Measles SIAs follow-up campaigns.
- Support planning, implementation and monitoring of COVID-19 and HPV vaccinations in the conflict affected areas and other places
- Monitor, supervise and support the activities of zonal TAs in seven (Abobo, Gambella, Itang, Jikawo, Lare, Mengeshi and Wantewa) woredas.
- Provide technical supports for Gavi CSO Zones (Agniwa ZHD, Itang Special WorHO and Nuer ZHD).
- Participate in technical working group meetings regularly and contribute technically and support the region and zones and woredas per the gaps on the ground.
- Conduct regular field monitoring and evaluation missions as per regional guidance to oversee quality implementation of Zonal and Woreda vaccination, communication and community engagement plan.
- Contribute to documenting experiences, success stories, activity reports, presentations, and briefs.
- Serve as a focal person for CCRDA/CGPP vaccine-related work in the zones.
- Develop and regularly update the capacity statement of CGPP Ethiopia and share to potential donors for resource mobilization.
- Conduct the minimum planned joint supportive supervision sessions in the project areas and provide oral and written feedback and backstopping service at all levels,
- Brief regularly about the status of the project and submit written activity reports to the project manager.
- Contribute articles for CGPP quarterly newsletter and journal club
- Undertake any other duty assigned by the project manager.

About You
- BSc, MD, or BA in public health, nursing or other health related degrees with Post Graduate Degree in Public Health or (MPH) or MSc from a recognized University or College.
- At least 3 years of NGO experience and 5 years proven experience in the area of immunization and maternal/child health programs including engagement in the vaccine delivery planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring.
- Proven ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with government and partners organizations and local communities.
- Experience in using Microsoft offices (power point, outlook, excel and word) and statistical packages like Epi info, SPSS, STATA and other apps like ODK.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Amharic and local language is mandatory.
- Ability to travel to project implementation areas at Woredas, health facilities and health post levels.
- Demonstrating personal integrity and trustworthiness
