General Description:
The Senior Analyst, FP & A, will serve as a key business partner to global department leads, helping drive the annual planning cycle, manage financial forecasting, monitor performance against budget, and lead cross-functional initiatives that improve operational efficiency and financial transparency. This role is ideal for a collaborative, analytical finance professional who can think strategically while managing the details of dynamic budgets and processes.

Compensation:
Operation Smile is committed to pay transparency. The anticipated salary range for this position is $79,000 to $94,000, which may vary slightly based on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
Essential Functions:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for assigned departments. Build and maintain driver-based financial models that support scenario planning and long-range projections.
- Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to department leaders. Translate financial data into clear insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Reporting & Analysis: Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including variance analysis, KPIs, and cost tracking. Support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Project & Process Leadership: Independently lead financial projects or initiatives. Identify and implement process improvements that drive efficiency, predictability, and better data use across teams.
- Technology & Systems: Partner with Finance leadership to evaluate tools that enhance FP&A capabilities and reduce manual labor. Help identify opportunities to streamline reporting and consolidate efforts across teams.
- Ad Hoc Support & Strategic Initiatives: Provide ad hoc financial support for investment decisions and other cross-functional priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or other analytical areas.
- 5–7 years of progressive finance experience, ideally in FP&A, cost accounting, or financial operations.
- Experience supporting business partners in complex organizations; nonprofit, healthcare or international exposure a plus.
- Strong modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in financial systems and data tools.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor financial insights for different audiences.
- Strong business acumen and comfort working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
