Job Description
Nexus Ethiopia is a national non-governmental and non-profit making humanitarian organization registered as Ethiopian National NGO as per the CSO’s proclamation 1113/19 implementing projects under Humanitarian, Development and Peace Building areas in all regions in Ethiopia.
Nexus Ethiopia is looking to hire a qualified Program Manager.
Job Title: Senior Finance and Compliance Officer
Key roles and responsibilities
- Manage the and led the financial management of the organization
- Support finance officers and field finance staff on financial management, budget tracking, reporting and documentation
- Ensure compliance to financial principles, procedures and donor requirements
- Develop donor reports
- Develop budget plans during proposal development
- Prepare organizational financial accounts to donor and external audit functions
- Ensure strong internal control and segregation of duties in the financial activities of the organization
Competencies:
- ACCA or other equivalent accredited (Mandatory requirement)
- Commitment to humanitarian Principles.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills-verbal and written. Communication in English is a key requirement. Knowledge of one of the local languages spoken in Ethiopia is preferable.
- Self-motivated, honest, highly responsible, and punctual.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as to work autonomously when required.
- Ability to constructively address gaps and weaknesses.
- Cross-cultural Awareness.

- Strategic vision, leadership, people management and planning.

About You
Qualification:
- Masters/BA/BSC Degree in Accounting, Finance
- At least 8 years of work experience in NGO sector mainly on Audit, compliance or Finance
- Communication
- Financial management
- Auditing skills
- Accounting
