Job Description
Mekdim Ethiopia National Association (MENA) is a national association of persons living with HIV and orphans due to HIV/AIDS .
MENA would like to hire qualified and experienced staff for prospective project that focuses on Social Accountability in Oromia regional state. The project is planned to be implemented in; Ilubabora, Buno Bedele and Jima Zones of Oromia National and Regional state to cover 16-24 Woredas.
These are fulltime staff, to be stationed in each SA implementing Woredas in Jimma Zone such as Agaro Town, Dedo, Jimma Special Town and Gera. The position holder will be responsible for the overall organization, coordination and implementation of the SA project in their respective Woredas.
Job Description
- Preparing work plans of the Woreda SA project and implementation up on approval by the project management team
- Attending training organized at various levels on social accountability tools and approaches and making sure that all other relevant staff attend these workshops
- Organizing and leading the trainings for Woreda facilitators and community mobilizers; and woreda officials, service providers and citizens groups
- Liaising with Woreda sector offices and administration and mobilizing support for the SA project
- Liaising with community and citizens’ groups, associations and key community representatives to mobilize support for the SA project
- Coordinating performance assessment surveys conducted using SA tools in the Woreda and in close collaboration with the SA project coordinator/officer at the lead agency
- Regular data collection and documentation of project activities and report to the project coordinator/Monitoring and Evaluation officer
- In collaboration with the SA officer, conduct baseline and midterm review of the Social accountability program
- Preparing and submitting narrative reports to the SA coordinator/officer in the lead CSO as per agreed upon time frame.
Terms of Employment: One year with possible extension

Job Requirements
Required Qualification:
- Diploma/BA/MSC Degree in Agriculture, Education, Economics, Sociology, and related fields with three years relevant experience for BA/BSC or with five years relevant experience for diploma in participatory development work.
